What is FSC?
We are both pleased and proud to announce that we are now certified by the
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to print on FSC approved paper and paper products. The Forest Stewardship
Council is an international certification authority for paper and wood products. FSC not only ensures consumable materials
are taken from sustainable sources; but it also ensures that claims regarding the recycled content of products are verifiable.
FSC is one of the most valuable tools available for improving forest practices and protecting Canada's natural forests.
Why use FSC?
In many forests around the world, logging still contributes to habitat destruction,
water pollution, displacement of indigenous peoples, and violence against people who work in the forest and the wildlife
that dwells there. Using an FSC Certified Printer and FSC Certified Paper ensures that your paper or paper products have come
from an environmentally sound source.
How can I see a difference?
Any material printed on FSC certified stock will have the FSC logo (seen to the right). As an FSC certified printer, we
do not put the FSC logo on jobs that are not printed on FSC approved stock. The FSC logo will also have the manufactures certification number.
All work that is being printed with the FSC logo must be approved by FSC before it is allowed to go to press.
What is the Cost?
There is no additional cost for FSC work.
